Media InnoTech Limited is a social enterprise that innovates tools, resources and products to make the media ecosystem more inclusive, accessible and engaging while prioritizing vulnerable groups.
The mission and vision of Media Inno Tech were designed upon two foundational challenges; the need to proactively combat information disorder and how to utilize technology to bridge information gaps. These challenges contribute largely to poor civic participation and state media manipulation.
Despite a 73 percent internet penetration and hundreds of news organizations reaching over 200 million people in Nigeria, there is a challenge of information access. Nigeria’s situation is representative of the sub-saharan African region.
Innovations created by Media Inno Tech will help make local media more independent, democratize information access and strengthen the impact of media-civic collaboration for a more participatory society.
